Our October 2017 magazine is now available in all formats

10-Oct-2017 We are pleased to announce that The College of Preachers' magazine The Preacher, issue no. 167, dated October 2017, is now available in all formats. Distribution of the paper copy took place last month, but the electronic version is now available for members to download (along with ten years' worth of previous editions) from this website's Members' Zone. To receive the magazine or to access the downloadable version you first need to join the College.

Partially themed around the topic of the person of the preacher, this latest issue (pictured) contains sermons for all Sundays from November 2017 to January 2018 (two each, based on different lections, for 12th November, 24th and 31st December, and for 21st January); and for All Saints Day (1st November), Christmas Day (25th December), Epiphany (6th January), and the Octave of Prayer (18th-25th January). The magazine also contains feature articles of interest to preachers (e.g. My Preaching Life, Preaching!, The Challenge of Lay Preaching and The Inner Life of the Preacher; book reviews; and news from the College.

By the way, one of the articles from the magazine, plus one of the sermons, is always available for free on our promotional page for The Preacher - for those preachers still deciding whether to join us or not!

If you receive a paper magazine as a member of the College, do check for any inserts within your magazine, because one may be a letter reminding you that this is the last issue you will receive on your current subscription. If so, you will need to take action now to renew your membership. The simplest way by far, is to visit our on-line shop and select the option "12 month membership". Tick the box for PayPal and you will be led to a page where you can enter your PayPal e-mail address and password, or can set up a PayPal account if you don't already have one. Then you may rest assured that you remain a member of the College, and will receive issue no. 168 before Christmas - a special issue that will take the theme "Preaching the Everyday" and focus on how preaching supports and sustains everyday discipleship. Please note also that if issue 167 is the last issue within your current membership term, your access to this website's Members' Zone may have already been rescinded and, if so, will remain so until you renew your subscription.
