The College of Preachers wishes to fill two vacancies on the Board of Trustees.
Trustees are legally responsible for the registered charity whose charitable objective is the promotion of the Christian religion.
The College fulfils this broad objective by publishing The Preacher and by providing a programme of training and learning events for preachers.
The Trustees ensure that responsibilities delegated to the Editorial Board and to the Director of Training and Tutors are fulfilled.
Trustees decide the strategy and long-term development of the College.
Trustees attend four Trustee meeting per year and participate in email discussions when necessary.
The initial appointment is for a period of three years which can be renewed for a further period.
The post is voluntary (unpaid) but expenses will be reimbursed.
The College is looking to recruit people of vision, energy and creativity, who are committed to strengthening the preaching ministry.
Experience of adult and ministerial learning would be desirable.
In appointing new Trustees the College wishes to increase the representative character of the Board of Trustees.
Applicants should send by email a CV and letter stating the professional and personal experience they feel they can contribute, to the Chair of Trustees, firstname.lastname@example.org, by 6 January 2020.
